Conference „Building bridges for Success – Cooperation between Higher education Institutions and the Business Sector in Russia”

Conference "Building bridges for Success - Cooperation between Higher education Institutions and the Business Sector in Russia" took place in Moscow on the 27-28th of October 2016 at the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy.

Russian and European HEI representatives, Alumni as well as other cooperation partners participated in this event. The overall aim:

What interests do businesses/enterprises have in programs like IAMONET-RU to enhance the educational outcomes of Higher Education Institution graduates? How can higher education institutions best prepare future professionals for national and international careers and job opportunities?

As a result of the conference, inputs and discussions, an overview about different expectations, limits and successful approaches in higher education and collaboration with the business sector were given and recommendations were discussed for the study program development in Russia for achieving higher employability of HEI graduates through cooperation between the business sector and HEIs.

The achieved outcomes:

-        Information about expectations of enterprises concerning the skills of graduates.

-        Information about the possibilities of HEI to provide needed skills development.

-        Exchange on collaborations to enhance educational systems that results in these skills.
